PRIMROSE POOL SAFETY OPERATING PROCEEDURES (Primrose Pool Rules)
The Pool Safety Operating Proceedures (PSOP) are based on the guidelines laid out by the book published
by the Health and Safety Commission – Managing Health and Safety in swimming pools. They are
designed to create a safe and pleasant environment for your own enjoyment. 

I agree to abide by the following conditions (Pool Safety Operating Procedure) when hiring this private
facility for my use:



1.    I will park properly in the spaces provided & ensure that everyone confines their movements to within the

      boundaries of the pool building & car park. 

2.    I am aware of the constant pool depth, that there are no abrupt changes in depth & that no equipment which

     might cause a risk may be brought.

3.    I will ensure that: there is no diving, no one will swim after a heavy meal or after alcohol & no one will swim long

    distances under water while holding their breath

4.    I will ensure that there will be no unruly behaviour, which can be dangerous: for instance, running, ducking,

     shouting or other loud noises. All activities will avoid the generation of high excitement

5.    I am aware that this pool does not have continual supervision. I am aware therefore that I am to be responsible for

     the conduct and safety of my guests while I hire this facility. 

6.    The maximum number of swimmers using the pool is 10.

7.  I understand that this is a private facility and that I must, if requested, supply the owner with the names and

      addresses of any person who might accompany me during my hired period of use. I understand therefore that

      this  facility has restricted access.

8.    I will ensure that I will accompany any child below the age of 15 at all times. The maximum number of children

     under eight years old is limited to three per supervising adult

9.    I understand that no food or alcohol is allowed on the premises and no commercial swimming instruction may

       be given unless it is by First Strokes

10.  Bathing alone is not allowed unless the owner permission has been gained. 

11.  I will clear up any excess water and leave the premises tidy and clean. I will ensure no powder is left on either the

    floor or benches. I will remove any litter for which I or my guests are responsible.

12.  I am aware that there is a telephone, which could enable me to contact the emergency services or a member of

     staff.

13.  I am aware of all exit doors and fire-fighting equipment

14.  I will inform the staff as soon as possible if any of the conditions has not been met by previous users

15.  I will ensure that my guests are also aware of all conditions

16.  I understand that if the owner considers that I, or my guests, either have not abided by these rules or have

      acted in a manner which has created a risk to the health and safety, he reserves the right to stop my use of the

       facility.
